At Walltopia you'll work alongside the people who design, engineer, and deliver the world's most ambitious climbing walls and adventure facilities — structures in over 80 countries, holding world records and winning international awards.

Basecamp 2026

20 interns. 9 teams. 8 stayed.

For two months, 20 students worked full-time at our HQ in Sofia as part of our teams, not next to them. Here’s what that looked like.

What our interns worked on

• Engineering (4, mechanical & electrical) – worked on our e-walls system, performed test rides of Rollglider on our test track in Lozen, assisted the senior engineers with day-to-day tasks
• Marketing (4) – created content, supported international campaigns, conducted market research across our product lines
• Sales (3) – prepared offers, researched new markets, supported the sales team in communication with international clients
• Accounting (2) – processed invoices, prepared reconciliations, supported monthly reporting
• Project & Event Management (2) – coordinated timelines, suppliers and logistics for projects and company events
• Legal (2) – reviewed contracts, supported legal work across different jurisdictions
• Architecture (1) – developed concept layouts and visualizations for new facilities
• IT (1) – supported our internal systems, tools and infrastructure
• HR & Administration (1) – helped organize the payroll team’s work, maintained the personnel archive

How we work

Walltopia operates in more than 80 countries and many markets at once, so no task stays inside one department. A single project can involve finance, marketing, logistics and sales, and interns see how those pieces connect. They work directly with senior management and experienced teams, and they get a view across the whole business that few companies offer at the start of a career.

The environment is open and decisions are made quickly. Priorities and goals can change within days, so we expect people to adapt, take initiative and own the outcome. Basecamp is built for students who want that kind of responsibility, not for those looking to fill the summer.

The result

We run Basecamp every year and raise the bar each time. This year, 8 of our 20 interns (40%) stayed with Walltopia after the program ended.
